Hello listeners! We wish you the very best Thanksgiving holiday to each and every one of you, and the best for your family and friends. We’re so thankful for each and every listener we have. CHANNEL 19 IGNORES US!!!

Hello listeners! Joe Cleveland here. If you’ve been listening to the morning show (of course you have been), you’ve heard us discussing (OK, whining about) Channel 19′s “Radio Wars” poll on their website, which gives listeners a chance to vote for their favorite morning show. And the East Side Morning Drive, with Joe Cleveland, is not on it! Nine morning shows are mentioned, but ours IS NOT. We are outraged, and not just INTERNET OUTRAGED, (which is common and boring), but actual HUMAN BEING OUTRAGED. Cleveland, The Rock and Roll Capital…of Taxation…

The Cleveland City Council, or at least 4 members of it, are considering dropping a tax on clubs who present live music at “smaller” venues. Some local club-owners say the tax is suffocating live music in Cleveland, a city who’s reputation as a live music destination suffers in comparison to Nashville, Seattle, even Columbus, OH. The owner of the Beachland Ballroom says she got a $400,000 tax bill. Mayor Jackson doesn’t seem to think the local music scene needs the help…he says “people owe, they should pay.
